Why should I Tweet?

You can seem to read anything these days without someone mentioning Twitter or Tweeting and more and more people just don’t get it, the question I get asked a lot is ‘why?’ – as to why you need an answer to something that takes next to no time I have no idea, I guess it’s a person inquisitive nature or maybe if it’s that simple ‘what’s the catch?’

I think the best answer I can give is what I say to all that ask, we should be a little more willing to explore, test and use this new tool – we don’t need to classify everything at first glance even though we may be inherently programmed to, not all we do needs to go in a box marked x, sometimes just sometimes we may use something we can’t classify and see the real business benefit from it.

I believe Twitter should be in all our ‘toolboxes’ it covers so many bases in what we do and how we can communicate our needs and goals even just our personality. It doesnt take much research to see businesses across the globe running Twitter accounts for all types of things, for customer service (http://twitter.com/jetblue), to engage with customer while at the same time promoting the brand (http://twitter.com/Fresh_and_Easy) or maybe just your favourite celeb Jonathan Ross either way there is no other tool so instantly enganging and that for my work makes it a hit.
