A lot of businesses struggle with new technology and how it can be used, what is [tag]twitter[/tag], why do i need social media is an often asked question or i dont want to know what someone had for breakfast in 140 characters or less (Twitter)! So the question you need to ask of all your staff is how do you get new ideas and those creative juices flowing, simple you need a [tag]Blue Sky[/tag] Meeting.
Does my business need a blue sky day?
THE AIM: Pull the team together and have an offsite meeting where you can dream about the future. For once in your life, leave behind the real world concerns of cost, time, technology and personnel. Do not let anything stop the creative juices flow.
So set an agenda, what you want to achieve, find an offsite location so you cant be interuppted, and most importantly find an independent chair person, someone who can drive the agenda along. Then when this is done get your team together so you can all see where opportunities are so that you as a team can exploit them.
Sometimes it takes someone looking into a business to see those opportunities you are missing, this is your chance to see who of your team maybe just maybe has that idea/brainwave that really can work for you.
