So you have ordered from a wide variety of ecommerce sites across the world, have you ever ordered from Harrods surely the worlds best retail store! So whats the online experience like, well i am lucky enough to have ordered my first item from them recently, so here is my experience.
First some website background info;
Site - Harrods.com calls itself ‘YOUR ONLINE LUXURY DESTINATION’.
Quoted delivery charges £5.95 for standard with 5-7 working days (UK) or you can upgrade to express at £12 for next day delivery. Also Harrods delivers to over 40 countries worldwide, so as you would expect has significant coverage.
The Harrods Website and purchase process;
The site itself very classy looking black and oozing the expensive feel everywhere, the site i find ok to naviagte and find my way through, i dont believe it has all the Harrods products on it, probably just a large selection. When you buy you are asked to register OR you can proceed without registering, i would recommend registering simply because you can manage your account, address, contact details etc. They also offer a rewards scheme thats worthwhile joining if you ever visit the store – what is it they say ‘points make prizes’?
So you have made your choice, added to the cart / nee Green Harrods Shopping Bag, you then pay your money choose your delivery option, delivery message and off you go.
Delivery Service
So you may ask what was the service like, well i ordered on the Tuesday, despatched on Wednesday (confirmed by a trackable email) and on the Friday and items arrived – delivered by Parcel Force, and this was standard delivery @ £5.95.
Harrods Gift Card
And to cap it all the delivery message was on a crafted Harrods Card as above, a great little touch dont you think?.
In summary a delightful order process and as you would expect a very high quality service all along, for me thats a strong recommendation .
