If you’re one of those folks who find themselves turning up at the workplace and immediately putting out fires every day rather than being able to organise and plan your way to a less stressful work life then your in good company.
A staggering 84% of business owners and managers simply don’t have a plan and just get through their days flying by the seat of their pants and invariably never achieve the sort of success that is right there under their noses for the taking if only they could create a plan and then follow it.
Planning is one of the most important tasks we can complete every day and is the one thing that will bring more positive results to our business and then our personal lives.
In business it could be as simple as making a list of calls at the end of the working day to make the following day, ticking these tasks off once competed or even shifting them to the next day, never just winging it and hoping you’ve done everything that you needed to, inevitably something will get forgotten and the knock on effect can have serious consequences.
The manager who is serious about their work is the one who has a plan for tomorrow, the next 7 days and for the 12 months ahead.
The manager who has this kind of plan is the one who will be the most successful, relaxed and happy.
This might be a slightly off topic subject for me but it is one I feel strongly enough about to mention as the simple act of drawing up goals, long, mid and short term can have an incredible effect on life and if even one person reads this and gets motivated to start looking ahead then these words were well worth taking the time to write.
