First Brexit and now President Trump, happenings on the world stage in the recent few months have made for a strange time, though not necessarily bad, either in outcome or for the future, only time will tell, but one thing that is completely true, things will never be the same ever again.
It is this change of world order that will in turn impact on businesses, not only internationally and nationally but locally as well.
It’s is now more important than it ever has been in the past to bolster your enterprise against what may or may not be coming.
It is time to train existing staff to be able to take on more responsibility within the business, in order to avoid the uncertain abilities of untried and untested new recruits, it is a know fact that if you invest in your loyal staff and up-skill them they will pay you back over and over with increased productivity and loyalty.
In our current climate of uncertainty we have to try and build in as many certainties as possible or I could say plan out as many uncertainties as we can, whichever way you look at it.
In my view it will be those canny business people who recognise that now, today, right this minute is the time to start planning the next 10 years.
I am certain that the true consequences of all our recent upheavals will not fully begin to settle for at least a decade and so those that survive the coming turbulent times will, I am sure, be those that started to look ahead today.
